Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Kolkata (IISER-Kolkata), West Bengal, has invited applications from eligible candidates for admission into the following disciplines of PhD (Doctorate of Philosophy) programme, offered in the upcoming spring session commencing fromJanuary 2012.Candidates will be first short listed (based on merit, subject specialization and required research area) for Test/Interview. The short listed candidates will be required to appear for the test/interview and then on the basis of their performance in test/interview final selection of candidates will be made.

List of shortlisted candidates (based on merit, subject specialization and required research area) for Test/Interview will be published in the IISER-Kolkata website tentatively in the first week of October, 2011. The selected candidates will receive the offer letter containing also the last date for joining shortly after the interview.

Interested candidates need to apply online by logging in to the Institute’s official website: http://www.iiserkol.ac.in/. One can also login to the direct link: http://registration.iiserkol.ac.in/PhD_Application.html for online application procedures. Candidates must fill the online application carefully according to the instructions and take the printout of the submitted application form. The online application should be submitted latest by September 21, 2011.
