How to Apply
Interested candidates can apply online by visiting the institute's official website: http://www.iisc.ernet.in/. After filling the online application form, candidates are required to take the print out of the same. Print out of the online application form should be submitted to the Deputy Registrar (Academic), Admissions Unit, IISc, Bangalore-560012. Candidates applying online are required to pay Rs 600 for General/OBC categories and Rs 300 for SC/ST/PH categories. Candidates can obtain the application form from selected branches of Canara Bank (list available at: http://www.iisc.ernet.in/admissions/Admissions_2011_Announcement.html) by paying Rs 700 in cash. Alternatively, candidates can obtain the application form through post by sending a request along with two address slips (stickers) and a DD of Rs 700 for General/OBC categories and Rs 350 for SC/ST/PH categories drawn in favor of the Registrar, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. The request along with aforesaid documents should be sent to the Deputy Registrar (Academic), Admissions Unit, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore 560 012. Candidates desirous to apply for External Registration Programmes should write a request along with a DD of Rs 1500 drawn in favor of the Registrar, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, to the Deputy Registrar (Academic), Admissions Unit, IISc, Bangalore - 560 012.
