Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (NSIT), New Delhi, has invited applications from eligible candidates for admission into full time PhD (Doctorate of Philosophy) into the following disciplines, offered in the upcoming academic session 2011-12.Admission will be made on the basis of candidate's performance in the entrance test, Power Point Presentation (7 to 10 minutes on any area of his/her interest preferably research area) followed by interview conducted by the Institute.

  • Division of Instrumentation and Control Engineering (ICE) - Industrial Electronics and industrial drives, Instrumentation including Biomedical and intelligent instrumentation, Process Control and Mechatronics, Networking and Distributed Computer Control System. Intelligent Control, optimal control, Fractional order Controllers, Bioinformatics, Game theory, Reinforcement learning and its Applications in Robotics.
  • Division of Manufacturing Processes and Automation Engineering (MPAE) - Manufacturing Processes, Manufacturing Automation, Computer Aided Design & Manufacturing, Computer Integrated Manufacturing, Electrochemical & Electro discharge Machining, Unconventional Machining Process, Robitics and Multicriteria decision methods using AI, Hybrid machining Technology.
  • School of Applied Science (SAS) – Mathematics: Approximation Theory, Fluid dynamics, Biomechanics, Linear and Nonlinear waves, Cosmology, Astronomy and Astrophysics, Complex analysis, Partial Differential Equations, General Relativity, Gas Dynamics. Chemistry: Inorganic Chemistry, organic Chemistry, Physical Chem. How to apply
Interested candidates can download the prescribed application forms and other instruction details from the Institute’s official website: http://www.nsit.ac.in/. The application fee (non-refundable) is Rs 1000 which is to be paid in the form of DD/Pay Order drawn in favour of Director, NSIT, New Delhi 110078 payable at Andhra Bank, NSIT Branch, Dwarka, New Delhi – 110078. The duly filled in application form along with attested photocopies of certificate/testimonials, two self addressed envelops (size 25 X 11cm) for communication and two address slips should be sent to the office of Assistant Registrar (Acad.PG studies) latest by September 30, 2011. Candidates must mention their name, address and telephone number at the back of the DD/Pay Order.
