Regional Institute of Education (RIE) in Mysore, Karnataka, a constituent unit of National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, has invited applications for admission into the following programmes, offered in the upcoming session 2011.
Courses
- 4 Year Integrated B Sc Ed (Eight Semesters)
- 4 Year Integrated B A Ed (Eight Semesters)
- 6 year Integrated M Sc Ed (Twelve Semesters) in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics
- One Year M Ed (Two Semesters)
Note: Admission to M Sc Ed Programme is on all India basis, whereas admission to B Sc Ed, BA Ed and M Ed Programmes is open to candidates of southern states and UTs only. Selection for M Sc Ed and M Ed will be on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination and Entrance Test.

How to Apply
Interested candidates can download the application form as well as the general information from the website: www.riemysore.ac.in. The same can obtained by through post by sending DD for Rs 300 (Rs 250 for SC/ST candidates) from a Nationalized Bank drawn in favour of Principal, RIE Mysore , payable at Mysore, along with self addressed envelope of size 26cm X 12cm bearing a stamp for Rs 10. One can also get the application form in person from Academic Section of the Institute against a payment of the prescribed fee.
The necessary documents needed to be attached along with the form are the attested copy of Class X Examination Pass certificate, Caste Certificate (for SC/ST/OBC applicants only), Physically Handicapped Certificate (for Physically Handicapped applicants only), Qualifying Examination Mark sheets, Domicile / Community / Nativity Certificate etc. The duly filled in application form along with the DD and enclosure documents should be sent to “Asst. Programme Co-ordinator (Academic), Regional Institute of Education, Mysore-570006” latest by June 20, 2011.
