Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), Delhi, has issued notification inviting applications from eligible candidates to apply for the Indian Economic Service (IES)/ Indian Statistical Service (ISS) Examination 2011.

How to apply
Interested candidates are required to apply online only through the UPSC’s official portal:http://www.upsconline.nic.in. However, the candidates residing in remote areas like Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Jammu & Kashmir, Lahaul and Spiti District and Pangi Sub- Division of Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep are provided with an option to apply offline. Candidates from remote areas need to obtain New Common Application Form (Form-E) from designated Head Post Offices/Post Offices (list given in the website mentioned) against a payment of Rs 30.
The application fee is Rs 100 (excepting Female/SC/ST/P.H. candidates who are exempted from payment of fee) need to be paid either by remitting the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of SBI or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit card. However, candidates from remote areas need to pay Rs 200 through a single Central Recruitment Fee Stamp. The online application need to be submitted latest by August 29, 2011. The duly filled in offline applications for remote area candidates should be submitted to “Controller of Examinations, Union Public Service Commission, Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi-110069” by Post/Speed Post only latest by September 5, 2011.
