VIT University, located in Vellore, Tamil Nadu, has invited applications for VIT Engineering Entrance Examination 2012, popularly known as VITEEE. The entrance test is conducted for offering admission to students into various branches of engineering at undergraduate level i.e. Bachelor of Technology (B Tech). The score of the entrance test is accepted by various engineering institutes/colleges, which are affiliated to VIT University. Selection of the candidates will be made on the basis of their performance in the Common Entrance Test, scheduled to be held on the date mentioned below, followed by counseling, to be conducted by the University.

How to Apply
Interested candidates can obtain the prescribed application form and information brochure from the designated branches of Post Offices (as given on the website: http://www.vit.ac.in/) on cash payment of Rs 950. One can also obtain the prescribed application form in person from VIT University at Vellore, VIT University at Chennai, or the Administrative Office, New No. 6 (Old No. W-73), II Street (Opposite Towers Club), Anna Nagar, Chennai - 600 040 through a Demand Draft of Rs 950 drawn in favor of ‘VIT University’, payable at Vellore.
Application material can also be obtained via post by sending a DD (mentioning the name, mobile number, and address of the candidate on the reverse side) of Rs 950 drawn in favor of ‘VIT University’, payable at Vellore, to “Admissions Officer”, VIT University, Vellore - 632014, along with a request letter containing the full address of the candidate. The duly filled and completed application form, along with the necessary enclosures (details given on the website) and a printed self-addressed envelope, should be sent either through Registered Post / Speed Post in a self-addressed envelope provided by VIT, on or before the last date of submitting the forms.
Candidates also can apply online by logging into the above mentioned official website. However, online applicants need to pay the application fee of Rs 900 by following the instructions mentioned on the website. For further details regarding admission, eligibility criteria and application procedure, candidates can log onto the aforementioned University's official website.
