Anna University, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, has invited applications from eligible candidates for Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test 2012, popularly known as TANCET. It is an entrance test, conducted by Anna University, Chennai, on behalf of Tamil Nadu Government for admission into the below mentioned programmes, to be offered in the ensuing session 2012-13, at the Departments/Colleges of Anna University, Government and Government Aided Engineering Colleges, Arts & Science Colleges, and Self-financing Colleges (Engineering, Arts & Science Colleges including stand-alone Institutions) in Tamil Nadu.

How to Apply
Interested candidates may register themselves by logging onto the official link of TANCET 2012: http://www.annauniv.edu/tancet2012/. One can also make spot registration by visiting the Co-coordinating Centers (list of centers is given on Anna University’s official website: http://www.annauniv.edu/) along with all requisite documents and an application fee of Rs 500 (Rs 250 for SC / SCA / ST candidates). One can pay the application fee either through Demand Draft or Cash only for registration in person. The DD should be drawn on any nationalized bank on or after January 23, 2012, in favor of The Director, Entrance Examinations, Anna University, payable at Chennai.
The duly filled in application form along with all necessary documents (and DD of the requisite amount in case of applying through downloaded application form) should be sent to The Secretary, TANCET, Centre for Entrance Examinations, Anna University, Chennai - 600 025, on or before February 25, 2012, latest by 5.30 pm. For further information regarding admission, eligibility criteria, application procedure and examination pattern, one can visit the aforementioned official website of Anna University.
Note:
- Hall Ticket will only be sent to those candidates who have made online registration.
- Application form is common for all the three tests. Candidates have to submit only one application form.
