As per sources, over 560000 candidates appeared for the Bihar secondary teacher eligibility test. The test was conducted on February 17, 2012, across various test centers in the state. However, the announcement of results has enabled students to apply for recruitment as high school teachers.
Bihar School Examination Board, the main educational body in the state of Bihar, conducts Secondary School Examination annually in the month of February - March, while the Supplementary School Examination is conducted by the Board in August - September. In addition, BSEB also conducts departmental examinations that include Diploma in Physical Education, Certificate in Physical Education and Teachers Training Examination, strictly as per the guidelines of the State Government.
