University of Calicut, also known as Calicut University, Kerala, has invited applications from desiring candidates for Bachelor of Arts (BA) / Bachelor of Commerce (B Com) Open Stream Entrance Exam 2012. The entrance examination is being conducted by the University for students who could not undergo the regular college course and seek to acquire a degree in arts or commerce streams.
Note:
- The entrance test will consist of three papers, comprising of Multiple Choice Question (MCQ). Each paper will be of two hours’ duration and carry 100 marks.
- Only those candidates, who score minimum 35% marks in the entrance examination, will be selected.

How to Apply
Interested candidates may apply online by registering themselves on the official website of the University: http://www.universityofcalicut.info/. After successful registration, candidates will be able to fill up the online application form. In addition, one has to pay an application fee of Rs 750 (Rs 375 for SC / ST candidates) through Bank Challan or Demand Draft (those residing outside Kerala). Printout of the duly filled-in online application form along with Bank Challan or DD (whichever is applicable) and all requisite documents (as mentioned in the prospectus) should be sent to the Director, School of Distance Education, University of Calicut, Malappuram, Kerala - 673 635, on or before July 13, 2012 (on all working days between 10.00 am and 5.00 pm). Note:
- Candidates, who wish to submit the application form by post, must enclose a self addressed envelope (size 30 cm x 25 cm) affixed with Rs 70 (those residing in Thiruvananthapuram district) or Rs 60 (for other candidates) stamps, along with the application form.
- Entrance test fee should be paid on or before July 5, 2012. After the abovementioned stipulated date, the University will accept the fee with a late fee of Rs 100, till July 11, 2012.
