CBSE Announces CTET November 2012

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi, has invited applications from eligible candidates to register for Central Teacher Eligibility Test November 2012, also known as CTET.
 
Applicability
  • The CTET shall apply to schools of the Central Government (KVS, NVS, Tibetan Schools, etc) and schools under the administrative control of UT of Chandigarh, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Daman & Diu and Dadra & Nagar Haveli, and NCT of Delhi.
  • CTET may also apply to the unaided private schools, who may exercise the option of considering the CTET.
  • Schools owned and managed by the State Government / local bodies and aided schools shall consider the TET conducted by the State Government. However, a State Government can also consider the CTET if it decides not to conduct the State TET.
Date of Exam
CTET November 2012 is to be held on November 18, 2012 as per the below given schedule:
  • Paper I - 10.30 to 12.00 hours
  • Paper II - 13.30 to 15.00 hours

How to Apply
Interested candidates are required to apply online by filling in the online application form made available on CBSE's official website: http://www.cbse.nic.in/ or CTET's official website: http://www.ctet.nic.in/. After successfully submitting the online application, one must take a printout of the computer generated confirmation page and paste photograph as well as sign in the specified space. The application / examination fee criterion is as follows:
  • For Paper - I or Paper - II: Rs 500 (for General & OBC candidates) and Rs 250 (for SC / ST / Differently-abled candidates)
  • For both Paper - I and II: Rs 800 (for General & OBC candidates) and Rs 400 (for SC / ST / Differently-abled candidates)
The application / examination fee is to be paid in the form of DD drawn in any nationalized bank in favour of the Secretary, Central Board of Secondary Education, payable at Delhi. One must write his / her Registration Number, Name, Address, and Mobile / Telephone Number on the back of the DD. The duly acknowledged confirmation page along with DD should be sent to the below mentioned address, latest by the last date(s) given below. Applications should be sent in an envelope of size 12” x 9” super-scribed in bold letters “APPLICATION FOR CTET-NOV 2012” only by Registered / Speed Post.
