Central Institute of Psychiatry (CIP), Ranchi, Jharkhand, has invited applications from eligible candidates for admission into the following postgraduate (PG) programmes, to be offered in the upcoming session commencing from May 1, 2013. Admission to the courses will be done on the basis of an entrance examination, followed by an interview / counseling.
Courses Offered:
Group A
- PhD (Doctor of Philosophy) in Clinical Psychology
- M Phil (Master of Philosophy) in Clinical Psychology
Group B
- M Phil in Psychiatric Social Work
- Diploma in Psychiatric Nursing
Note: For PhD in Clinical Psychology / M Phil in Clinical Psychology / M Phil in Psychiatric Social work, an entrance test will be conducted; however, admission to Diploma in Psychiatric Nursing will be made through interview.

Suitable candidates would be asked to appear for a written examination and interview / counseling at this institute, which will be conducted from February 17-22, 2013.

How to Apply
Interested candidates are required to submit the online application by logging onto CIP’s official website: http://cipranchi.nic.in/. However, one must take a printout of the online submitted application form on A4 size bond paper. The application fee is Rs 400 (for General Candidates) and Rs 300 (for SC/ST/OBC candidates) which is to be paid in the form of DD. The DD should be drawn in favour of Director, CIP, Ranchi and should be payable at Ranchi. The duly signed and acknowledged hard copy (printout) of the form, along with the prescribed DD and other requisite enclosure documents (list given on the website), should be sent to the Director, Central Institute of Psychiatry, Kanke, Ranchi - 834006 (Jharkhand) latest by December 7, 2012.
