Chhatisgarh Board of Secondary Education Rajasthan (CGBSE), as an autonomous and self financing body, was constituted under Government of Chhattisgarh Education Act 1965. The Board came into existence on January 20, 2001 for conducting High School and Intermediate examinations. Initially established at the capital city of Raipur, in Chhatisgarh, the Board has three distinctive sub-divisional offices, located at Bilaspur, Sarguja and Jagdalpur. The Board is responsible for maintaining good standard and uniformity of education in the state.
