Directorate of Technical Education, popularly known as DTE, Mumbai, Maharashtra, has invited applications from eligible Maharashtra state and Kashmiri migrant candidates for admission into First Year Post SSC Diploma in Engineering / Technology course, to be offered at government, government aided and unaided polytechnic / institutes in the ensuing session 2012. Admission will be made on the basis of candidates’ academic qualification through Centralized Admission Process (CAP), to be taken by the Competent Authority, duly appointed by the Government and headed by the Director of Technical Education, Maharashtra State.
Note: Only Maharashtra residents or Kashmiri migrants are eligible to apply.

How to Apply
Interested candidates may obtain the information brochure and application kit (containing Application ID and Password which should be used for online application) from all Application Form Receipt Centers (ARCs) (list given on DTE website: http://dte.org.in/) on all working days (except holidays) between 10.00 am and 5.30 pm by paying Rs 400 (Rs 300 for reserved category of Maharashtra state only) in cash. After obtaining the application kit, one has to log onto the official website of DTE: http://dte.org.in/ and complete the registration by using “Application ID” and “Password”. For further information regarding admission, eligibility criteria and application procedure, one can visit the abovementioned website of DTE.
Note:
- Candidates have to take a printout of the online submitted application form (duly signed) and report in person to the ARC along with all requisite documents (list given on the website) for verification.
- Application form submitted online and subsequently confirmed at ARCs will only be considered for further processing.
- Kashmiri Migrants have to send the duly signed hard copy of online submitted form by Post / Courier or submit in-person at J & K Migrant Admission Center Principal, SBM, Polytechnic, Near Copper Hospital, Vile Parle West, Mumbai, Maharashtra - 400 056.
