Delhi University (DU), New Delhi, has issued the notification for admission into PhD programme, to be offered at the Department of Physics & Astrophysics in the ensuing session 2012.

DU Department of Physics & Astrophysics PhD Programme Admission 2012

University of Delhi, also known as Delhi University (DU), New Delhi, has invited applications from eligible candidates for admission into Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) programme, to be offered at the Department of Physics & Astrophysics in the ensuing session 2012. Admission will be offered on the basis of entrance test merit, followed by interview scheduled to be conducted on the below mentioned date.
 
Note: Candidates, who have qualified NET-JRF or any other equivalent fellowship, are exempted from the entrance test.
 
Date of Exam
Entrance test and interview will be held on (tentatively) 25 and 26 July, 2012 (*)
 
Note: (*) indicates that the entrance exam and interview can be extended for another one day.

How to Apply
Interested candidates (NET-JRF qualified or non NET-JRF) may obtain the application form from Administrative Office of the University of Delhi. In addition, one can download the same from the official website of the University: http://www.du.ac.in/. The duly filled in application form or print-out of the downloaded form should be submitted on or before the below mentioned last date of submission of application form. For further information regarding admission, eligibility criteria, fee and application procedure, one can visit the abovementioned official website of the University.
 
Note:
  • Final result will be declared by the University two days after the entrance exam / interview.
  • Selected Net - JRF qualified candidates will have to submit the registration form duly signed by supervisors on or before August 1, 2012 whereas the last date for non NET-JRF candidates to submit the registration form is August 10, 2012.
  • Candidates are advised to provide personal E-mail ID and Contact Number as the University will disperse the information through E-mail and contact number. In addition, the University will not be responsible for non-working E-mail ID and contact number.
