Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, has invited applications from eligible candidates for HP Combined Pre-Medical Entrance Test 2012, popularly known as HP-CPMET. The entrance exam is being conducted for admission into the following full-time degree courses in medical and dental disciplines in various government as well as private medical and dental institutes/colleges of the state, to be offered in the upcoming session 2012-13. Selection for admission will be made on the basis of candidates’ performance in MCQ (Objective type) based entrance test, followed by counseling, to be conducted by the University.

How to Apply:
Interested candidates can obtain the prescribed application form and information brochure from the University Exam Enquiry-cum-Sale Counter, Library Building (Basement), Summer Hill, Shimla-5, between March 29, 2012 and April 28, 2012 on all working days. The same can also be obtained on cash payment of Rs 1500 (for General Candidates) / Rs 750 (for SC/ST candidates). However, NRI candidates will have to pay US$ 40 or equivalent in Rupees for the same.
Candidates can also obtain the application form-cum-information brochure through post by sending a request addressed to the Assistant Registrar (Entrance Tests), HP University, Summer Hill, Shimla-171 005, along with a crossed IPOs/Bank Draft of Rs 1600 (for General candidates) / Rs 850 (for SC/ST candidates) and an amount of US$ 60 (for NRIs) or equivalent in Rupees drawn in favor of the Finance Officer, HP University, Shimla. While applying for the prospectus through post, one must mention “Required HP-CPMET-2012 Prospectus”, along with complete his/her mailing address in capital letters and telephone number.
After obtaining the application form, candidates are required to submit the duly filled-in application form in all respect to the Assistant Registrar (Entrance Tests), HP University, Shimla-5, latest by April 30, 2012 up to 5:00 pm either by hand or by Registered / Speed Post. NRI candidates (Foreign Students) will have to send their completely applications directly to the Principal of the concerned college / institute on or before May 31, 2012.
