Admission is made on the basis of written test merit followed, by interview.

How to Apply
Interested candidates may apply online by visiting the official website of IGIDR: http://www.igidr.ac.in/. In addition, one can obtain the application form and prospectus in person from the Institute on all working days (Monday to Friday from, 9.15 am to 5.45 pm) on cash payment of Rs 500 or by sending a request on plain paper along with a Demand Draft of Rs 500 (non-refundable), drawn in favor of Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research (IGIDR), payable at Mumbai. The request must be sent to Students Office, IGIDR, Gen A.K., Vidya Marg, Santosh Nagar, Goregaon East, Mumbai - 400 065.
Application form and information brochure can also be downloaded from the abovementioned website. The duly filled in application form or printout of the downloaded form, along with a DD of Rs 500 (in case of downloaded form), should be sent to the Students Office, IGIDR, Gen. A.K. Vaidya Marg, Santosh Nagar, Goregaon (East), Mumbai - 400 065, on or before March 23, 2012.
