Indian Institute of Technology Patna (IIT Patna), Patna, Bihar, has invited applications from eligible candidates for admission into M Tech (Master of Technology) programme in the following schools / specializations, to be offered in the upcoming session commencing from July 2012. IIT Patna admits M Tech students under the categories of Regular (full-time) and Sponsored (full-time). Admission to the course(s) will be made on the basis of candidates' performance in GATE score and personal interview (of short-listed candidates), to be conducted by the Institute. However, for sponsored candidates, GATE score is not mandatory and they are not eligible for assistantship. In addition, selection of these candidates will be made on the basis of their performance in the written test and personal interview of short-listed candidates.

How to Apply
Interested candidates may obtain the application form from the Assistant Registrar (Academic), Indian Institute of Technology, Patna, Patliputra Colony, Patna – 800013, Bihar, in person or through post by sending a requisition to the mentioned address along with a self-addressed, stamped envelope (24 cm x 15 cm size) (Request for form must be sent in an envelope super-scribed with ‘Request for M Tech Application Form’). Application form can also be downloaded from the Institute's official website: http://www.iitp.ac.in/. The application fee is Rs 300 (for General / OBC candidates) and Rs 150 (for SC / ST / PD candidates).
Application fee should be paid in the form of DD drawn on any nationalized bank, in favour of IIT Patna, payable at Patna. The duly filled in and completed application form along with copies of mark sheets / certificates and other testimonials (both sides) and DD should be sent to the Assistant Registrar (Academic), Indian Institute of Technology Patna, Patliputra Colony, Patna – 800 013, Bihar, latest by May 14, 2012. Candidates must mark on the top of the envelope - Application for M Tech Admission in (Name of the Specialization). In addition, those applying for more than one specialization should make separate applications.
