Institute of Physics, Bhubaneswar, Odisha, has invited applications from GATE and CSIR-UGC Test (NET) qualified candidates for admission into one-year Pre-doctoral programme, to be offered in the ensuing session 2012. The Pre-doctoral course runs from August to June every year. Successful candidates will be awarded certificates for “Post-M Sc Course in Advance Physics” which has been recognized by Utkal University, Berhampur University, and Sambalpur University as equivalent to their M Phil degree. On completion of the Pre-doctoral course, the students will be eligible to join for research under the supervision of faculty members of the Institute, leading to PhD degree awarded by Homi Bhabha National Institute (HBNI), a Deemed-to-be University within the Department of Atomic Energy. Admission will be made on the basis of candidates' performance in the writtten test, followed by personal interview, to be conducted by the Institute.
Note: Candidates who have qualified JEST-2012 with a minimum score of 35 marks need not send any application.
