Indian School of Mines (ISM) Dhanbad, Jharkhand, has invited applications from eligible candidates for admission into M Tech (Master of Technology) / M Phil (Master of Philosophy) programme, to be offered in the ensuing academic session 2012-13. Admission to M Tech / M Phil courses will be made on the basis of candidate's performance in the All India Entrance Examination, followed by counseling, to be conducted by ISM Dhanbad. In addition, GATE / NET (for M Phil) qualified candidates will be inducted through counseling only.
Date of Exam
All India written test for GATE not qualified / NET not qualified and SPONSORED candidates is scheduled to be held on May 13, 2012 (from 9.00 am to 12.00 noon).

How to Apply
Interested candidates are required to apply online by filling in the online application form made available on Institute’s official website: http://www.ismdhanbad.ac.in/ or http://www.ismdhanbad.ac.in/admissions. Application fee is Rs 500 which can either be paid by bank transfer (details about this mode is given in the website) or through DD drawn in favour of Registrar ISM Dhanbad, payable at Dhanbad. One must pay the application fee before filling the online application form.
After successfully filling and submitting the online application, candidates must take a printout of the same. One copy of the completed application form along with the bank deposit document or DD should be sent to “Deputy Registrar (Academic & SW), Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad 826004” latest by April 6, 2012. On the top of the envelope candidates must mention “Application form for M Tech / M Phil Admission 2012.” For more detailed information regarding admission, eligibility criteria and application procedure, candidates are requested to visit the Institute’s aforementioned official website.
