School of Languages and Linguistics (SLL), Faculty of Arts, Jadavpur University, West Bengal, has invited applications from eligible Indian candidates for admission into the following Certificate, Diploma and Advanced Diploma Courses in Indian and Foreign Languages, to be offered in the session 2012. Courses (except in Japanese and Functional and Communicative English) are of approximately 11 months’ duration and will commence in late January 2013, with final examinations in December. Classes will be held in the evenings between 5 and 8 pm.

- Japanese: Three Year Diploma Course
- Functional and Communicative English: 6 month course

How to Apply
Interested candidates may obtain the prescribed application form from the Enquiry Office, Jadavpur University on payment of Rs 100. One can also download the application form from the ‘School of Languages’ (Form – A) from the University’s official website: http://www.jaduniv.edu.in/. However, the downloaded form should be sent along with a DD of Rs 100 payable at Kolkata. The duly filled in and completed application form should be submitted in the Office of the Principal Secretary, Faculty of Arts, Jadavpur University, latest by November 23, 2012.
Foreign candidates should download the ‘Application Form for Foreign Nationals’ (Form – B) from the University website and scan the filled-up form as a PDF attachment, with an e-mail giving any other necessary information, to the Director, SLL, at email ID: supriya.chaudhuri@gmail.com or Joint Director, SLL, at email ID: languagemahib@gmail.com.
