School of Biotechnology, University of Jammu, also known as Jammu University, Jammu, has invited applications from eligible candidates for admission into M Sc (Master of Science) Biotechnology course, to be offered in the ensuing academic session 2012. There are 10 seats available for admission into the course, run by the University. However, out of 10, five seats will be filled on All-India basis and the remaining five seats will be filled in order of merit from the CBEE-qualified list provided by JNU, New Delhi. In addition, three candidates will be admitted under NRI / Industry sponsored category (sponsorship fee Rs 2.00 lacs), the advertisement for which will be issued by Jammu University on a later date.

The entrance examination (CBEE) will be held at the following 52 cities: Agartala, Ahmedabad, Aizawl, Allahabad, Amritsar, Bangalore, Bareilly, Bhubaneswar, Calicut, Chandigarh, Chennai, Coimbatore, Dehradun, Delhi, Dimapur, Gangtok, Goa, Gorakhpur, Guwahati, Gwalior, Hyderabad, Imphal, Indore, Itanagar, Jaipur, Jammu, Katihar, Kolkata, Lucknow, Madurai, Mumbai, Nagpur, Noida, Pantnagar, Patna, Pondicherry, Pune, Raipur, Ranchi, Sambalpur, Secunderabad, Shillong, Shimla, Silchar, Siliguri, Srinagar, Thiruvananthapuram, Udaipur, Vadodara, Varanasi, Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam. In addition, the University will hold entrance examination at Kathmandu (Nepal).

How to Apply
Interested candidates may obtain the application form and information brochure (for JNU CBEE) through post by sending a postal request along with a Bank Draft (valid for six months) of Rs 260 (for one set of Application Form and Prospectus) drawn in favor of “Jawaharlal Nehru University” payable at New Delhi only from the Section Officer (Admissions), Room No. 28, Administrative Block, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi - 110067. The request should accompany a self-addressed unstamped envelope of size 30 x 25 cm indicating clearly on the top of the self addressed envelope the programme for which the application form is required. Candidates are advised not to send their request for set of application form and prospectus through courier. In addition, they are also notified that there will be no cash counter for sale of set of application form and prospectus.
Candidates can also apply online by filling in the online application form by visiting the University’s official website: http://www.jnu.ac.in/. The online application portal will remain open from February 6, 2012 (10:00 am) till March 21, 2012 (5:00 pm). After successfully submitting the online application, one must take a printout of the auto-generated confirmation page. The duly acknowledge confirmation page, along with requisite documents and application fee (mentioned on the website) should be sent by registered post / speed post, to “Section Officer (Admissions), Room No. 28, Administrative Block, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi - 110067 (and not to any other participating University)” latest by March 28, 2012.
