Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), has invited applications from eligible candidates for Joint CSIR-UGC for Junior Research Fellowship and Eligibility for Lectureship (NET) June 2012 test.
 
Date of Exam
Joint CSIR-UGC JRF & NET June 2012 will be conducted on June 17, 2012 as per the following schedule:
 
Morning Session - Subject
Life Sciences & Mathematical Science - 9.00 am to 12.00 noon
Afternoon Session - Subject
Chemical Sciences, Earth Sciences, Atmospheric Sciences, Ocean Sciences, Planetary Sciences and Physical Sciences - 2.00 to 5.00 pm

The test will be held at 26 centers spread all over India, as specified below:
Bangalore, Bhavnagar, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cochin, Delhi, Guntur, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Imphal, Jammu, Jamshedpur, Karaikudi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Nagpur, Pilani, Pune, Raipur Roorkee, Srinagar, Thiruvananthapuram, Udaipur and Varanasi

How to Apply
Interested candidates may obtain the application form through any of the following modes:
By Hand: Candidates applying for the test may obtain the information bulletin and application form (inclusive of fee payable) through the branches of the Bank (detailed list of bank branches is given on the website: http://csirhrdg.res.in/). The application fee for General category candidates is Rs 400, for Other Backward Classes (OBC) (Non Creamy Layer) is Rs 200 and for SC / ST / Physically Handicapped (PH) or Visually Handicapped (VH) candidates is Rs 100.
 
Through Post: One may get the information bulletin and application forms through Value Payable Post (VPP) from Indian Bank, 3/1, West Patel Nagar, New Delhi - 110 008, by sending requisition for the same along with a crossed DD for Rs 400 / Rs 200 / Rs 100 (whichever applicable). The draft should be drawn in favour of Indian Bank, West Patel Nagar, New Delhi payable at New Delhi. For this purpose, the candidate should send a request to the Bank with TWO self-addressed slips clearly mentioning the address at which he/she wants the information bulletin and application form by VPP. The application forms can be obtained through post from February 21, 2012 to March 14, 2012. In addition, candidates must write his/her name, date of birth, address, date of exam and subject code on the back of the DD.
 
Online Application: One can also apply online by visiting the CSIR HRDG official website: http://csirhrdg.res.in/. However, in order to apply online, candidates are required to download Bank Challan performa from the aforementioned website. After successfully submitting the online application, one must take a printout of the submitted application form. Candidates are also required to paste his/her recent black & white photograph and put his/her signature in the specified space on the printout of the form. The duly filled-in and acknowledged printout/hardcopy of the online application, along with the requisite enclosure documents and CSIR copy of challan, should be sent in an envelope.
 
The duly completed and filled in applications along with requisite documents (as applicable) should be sent to the Sr. Controller of Examinations, Human Resource Development Group, Examination Unit, CSIR Complex, Library Avenue, Pusa, New Delhi - 110 012, latest by March 26, 2012 (April 2, 2012 for remote areas). For any further details regarding admission, eligibility criteria and application procedure, candidates are requested to visit the abovementioned website.
