School of Distance Learning & Continuing Education (SDLCE) was established by Kakatiya University in the year 1988 to help the students who could not get opportunity to pursue higher studies through regular stream. The school offers 75 programmes at different levels through 70 study centres including 16 MoU centres with a total number of about 35000 students. It has been recognized as a Nodal Agency for undertaking Training and Research in the field of Distance Education with the establishment of Distance Education Quality Support & Training Institute (DEQSTI) with full financial assistance from the Distance Education Council, New Delhi and under its auspices, it has organized several programmes.
