Lakshmibai National University of Physical Education is an esteemed university for physical education in India, located at the historical city of Gwalior in the state of Madhya Pradesh. The college was established by the Ministry of Education & Culture, Government of India as Lakshmibai College of Physical Education (LCPE) in the year 1957. Initially, it was affiliated to Vikram University, Ujjain, and later to Jiwaji University, Gwalior in 1964. In the year 1995, it was conferred as “Deemed to be University under Section 3 of UGC Act, 1956. In the year 2009, it was renamed as Lakshmibai National University of Physical Education. The University offers study courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in physical education.
