Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India, has invited applications from eligible candidates for National Entrance Screening Test 2012, popularly known as NEST. It is an entrance test conducted by Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India, for admission into five year integrated M Sc (Master of Science) programme, to be offered at National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar, and University of Mumbai - Department of Atomic Energy, Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CBS), Mumbai.

How to Apply
Interested candidates may apply online by registering themselves on the official website of NEST: http://www.nestexam.in/. One will get a conformation mail after the successful registration and henceforth, one can fill up the application form online. In addition, one can obtain the application form through post by sending an application to The Chief Coordinator, NEST-2012,UM-DAE CBS, Health Center Building, University of Mumbai, Kalina Campus, Mumbai 400 098.
Candidates have to pay an application fee of Rs 600 (Rs 300 for SC/ST/PD and female candidates) either through Demand Draft or Electronic Payment. The DD should be drawn in favor of NEST, payable at Mumbai. In case the candidates are making the payment through Electronic Payment mode, the details are as follows: Bank and Branch Name - Bank of Baroda Kalina Branch, Account Name and Number - NEST 06720100017374, IFSC Code BARB0KALINA.
The duly filled in application form or printout of the duly filled-in application form (in case of downloaded application form), along with all requisite documents, should be sent to The Chief Coordinator, NEST-2012,UM-DAE CBS, Health Center Building, University of Mumbai, Kalina Campus, Mumbai 400 098, on or before March 13, 2012. Those paying the application fee through Demand Draft should attach a DD with the application. Note:
- One must write his/her full name and application number on the reverse side of the DD.
- Admit cards will be mailed to the candidate’s postal addresses from April 15, 2012 onwards.
