NIPGR New Delhi PhD Programme 2012 Admission

National Institute of Plant Genome Research (NIPGR), New Delhi, has invited applications from eligible candidates for admission into PhD (Doctorate of Philosophy) programme, to be offered in the ensuing session 2012. The course is being offered for conducting advanced researches in the frontier areas of Plant Biology, such as, Computational Biology, Genome Analysis and Molecular Mapping, Molecular Mechanism of Abiotic Stress Responses, Nutritional Genomics, Plant Development and Architecture, Plant Immunity, Transgenics for Crop improvement, Molecular Breeding and other emerging areas based on plant genomics. Admission will be made on the basis of candidates' performance in the personal interview only.
 
Note: Selected candidates will be enrolled for PhD program in academic affiliation with Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.

How to Apply
Interested candidates can download the application form from the website: http://www.nipgr.res.in/. One can also apply on A-4 size plain paper in the format given on the aforementioned website. The requisite documents needed to be enclosed with the application form are attested photocopies of certificates and mark sheets mentioning the division obtained and Fellowship Award Letter / Admit Card. Two passport-size recent photographs should also be enclosed, amongst which one should be signed by the candidate and pasted on the application form, while the other should be enclosed.
 
The completed application form should be accompanied with a crossed DD for Rs 300 drawn in favor of “Director, National Institute of Plant Genome Research”, payable at New Delhi. However, a DD of Rs 100 is acceptable from SC/ST candidates provided relevant documentary proof is enclosed. The duly filled-in application form along with the DD (whichever applicable) and requisite enclosures should be sent to “The Director, National Institute of Plant Genome Research, Aruna Asaf Ali Marg, JNU Campus, Post Box No. 10531, New Delhi - 110 067” latest by May 28, 2012. Note: NIPGR will provide shared accommodation to selected candidates.
