National Institute for Research in Reproductive Health, also known as NIRRH, Mumbai, Maharashtra, has invited applications from eligible candidates for admission into Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) programme, to be offered in the below mentioned areas in the upcoming session 2012. Candidates will be short-listed on the basis of merit obtained in the PhD Entrance test conducted by Mumbai University or CSIR / UGC / ICAR / ICMR / DBT and called for interview. Final selection will strictly be made on the basis of performance in the interview.

Note: Those who have qualified CSIR / UGC / ICMR / DBT entrance test will be given preference in the admission procedure and avail fellowship as per the norms of the respective authority (as mentioned above). While, other selected candidates will initially be given a fellowship of Rs 8000 per month for two years.

How to Apply
Interested candidates may apply online by filling the application form made available on the official website of NIRRH: http://www.nirrh.res.in/. The direct link for the same is: http://www.bicnirrh.res.in/phd2012/. In addition, general category candidates have to pay an application fee of Rs 300 in the form of Demand Draft (DD) drawn on any nationalized bank in favor of Director, NIRRH Mumbai. After filling up the application form, one has to submit the same on the website and take a print-out.
Hard copy of the duly filled-in online submitted application form along with the DD (as mentioned above) should be sent to the In-charge, Post Graduate Studies, National Institute for Research in Reproductive Health, Jehangir Merwanji Street, Parel, Mumbai, Maharashtra - 400 012, on or before August 10, 2012. The envelope containing the application form should be super scribed as “NIRRH PhD 2012”. Note: SC / ST candidates are exempted from paying the application fee.
