National Institute of Technology (NIT) Agartala, Tripura, has invited applications from eligible candidates for admission into Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) programme, to be offered in the below mentioned departments in the upcoming session January - June 2013. Candidates will be short-listed on the basis of their academic qualification and called for written test / Personal Interview (PI). The institute finalizes admission on the basis of candidates’ performance in the written test / PI.

Note: Sponsored and Part time candidates, including institute staff, should submit Sponsorship and No Objection Certificate (NOC) in the prescribed format at the time of admission, without which they will not be considered for the admission procedure.

How to Apply
Interested candidates may download the application form from the official website of NIT Agartala: http://www.nitagartala.in/. In addition, candidates have to pay an application fee of Rs 500 (Rs 300 for SC / ST candidates) in the form of Demand Draft (DD) drawn on any nationalized bank in favor of Registrar, NIT Agartala, payable at SBI, NIT, Agartala branch (Code: 11491).
The duly filled-in hard copy of the downloaded form, along with the DD (as per above) and all supporting documents as mentioned in the form, should be sent to the office of the Dean, Academic, NIT Agartala, Tripura-799 055, on or before December 3, 2012. The envelope containing the application form should be super scribed as Application for PhD Programme, 2013 in _________ (desired department).
