Department of Physics, Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda University (RKMVU), West Bengal, has invited applications from eligible candidates for admission into M Sc (Master of Science) programme in Physics, to be offered in the ensuing session 2012. Admission will be made on the basis of candidate’s performance in the entrance test, to be conducted by the University.
Date of Exam
Candidates may choose any of the following dates to appear for the entrance exam. In addition, one must write his/her chosen date for the entrance exam below the first page of the application form.
Option 1: March 4, 2012 (from 12 noon to 2 pm)
Option 2: March 11, 2012 (from 12 noon to 2 pm)
Test Centers
The entrance examination will be held at the main campus of Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda University at Belur Math, Howrah 711202.

How to Apply
Interested candidates may obtain the application forms from the University office in person, from 9 January to 25 February 2012 during the office hours (from 10 am to 5 pm). However, one can also download the prescribed application form and admit card (for entrance exam) from the University’s official website: http://www.rkmvu.ac.in/. The application fee is Rs 200 which is to be paid in the form of DD drawn in favour of Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda University. The duly filled in and completed application form, along with requisite documents (details given in the website) and DD, should be submitted in person or sent through post to the University office, latest by February 29, 2012.
