UPSC IFS Final Exam 2011 Result Out

New Delhi: On March 30, 2012, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), declared the final result of Indian Forest Services (IFS) examination 2011. The result is made available on the Commission’s official website: http://www.upsc.gov.in/. All those candidates who had appeared for the same, can check their respective results by logging into the aforementioned website.
 
As per the notification issued by UPSC, the candidates have been selected on the basis of the results of the Indian Forest Service Examination 2011; the written examination for which was held by the Union Public Service Commission in July, 2011 and the personality test in March 2012. The list contains names of 85 candidates, including 33 belonging to Other Backward Classes, 14 to the Scheduled Castes, 06 to the Scheduled Tribes. The list also contains names of 01 candidate each belonging to PH- 2(Blindness or low vision) and PH-3 (Hearing impairment) category. Appointment to the Service will be made by the Government according to the number of vacancies available and fulfilling of other criteria. However, the number of vacancies intimated by the Government is 85 (Eighty Five).
 
In addition, to help the candidates, the commission has made a ‘Facilitation Counter’ near Examination Hall Building in its Campus. Candidates may obtain any information / clarification regarding their Examination / recruitments on working days between 10:00 am and 05:00 pm in person or over Telephone Nos. 011-23385271 and 011-23381125 from the facilitation counter.
