University of Calcutta, West Bengal, has invited applications from eligible Life Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Physical Sciences and Mathematical Sciences post-graduate students, for admission against vacant seats of PhD (Doctorate of Philosophy) programme in the Department of Biophysics, Molecular Biology and Bioinformatics, to be offered in the session 2013. Admission will be made on the basis of candidate’s performance in the entrance test, followed by an interview, to be conducted by the University.
Note: All candidates should note that candidates, who have already passed UGC (JRF) Examinations/ NET/ SET/ SLET or equivalent examinations or passed the M Phil or equivalent examination, are not required to appear in the written examination and can directly appear for the interview.

The written admission examination is scheduled to be held on March 7, 2013 (from 12.00 noon onwards).
