Department of Applied Geology, Dibrugarh University, Assam, has invited applications for admissions into post MSc Two years’ M.Tech Programme in Exploration Geophysics, for the academic session 2013-15.
Eligibility
Candidates having M.Sc./M.Sc. Tech. degree in Applied Geology/ Geology/ Physics/ Mathematics and any other equivalent degree from any UGC recognized University securing at least 55% marks in aggregate (or. OGPA 7.0 in the scale of 10.0 points) and having Mathematics as a core subject in the degree level. Candidates who have cleared GATE will get preference. Based on the performance of the eligible candidates in the interview Board, a merit list of the selected candidates will be published and candidates after payment of the prescribed fee shall be admitted for the course.
Note: Relaxation in respect of S.C. and S.T. may be allowed as per provision made by the Govt. of India and Govt. of Assam.
Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in the Admission Test followed by an Interview.

Interested candidates can obtain the application form from the the Office of the Deputy Registrar(Acad.), D.U. on payment of Rs 300 (Rupees three hundred) only either by cash at the University Cash Counter or by A/C payee DD drawn in favor of the Registrar, Dibrugarh University payable at SBI, Dibrugarh University Branch. One can also download the application form from the University’s official website: http://dibru.ac.in/n and must send a DD of Rs 300 along with the downloaded forms. Thereafter, the duly filled application form must be completed in all respect must reach the Head, Dept. of Applied Geology, Dibrugarh University, Dibrugarh, Assam, Pin – 786 004 on or before July 15, 2013.
