GBTU Extends Last Date of Application For UPSEE 2013

Lucknow: Gautam Buddh Technical University (GBTU), Lucknow, has extended the last date of application for Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE) 2013. Now, candidates can obtain the application (OMR) form from all Head Post Offices and Mukhya Dak Ghars (MDGs) of UP, Delhi & Dehradun till March 25, 2013. However, the online application link will be available till March 28, 2013 (upto 5:00 pm). Earlier, the last date for obtaining both printed application form and online application was March 21, 2013.
 
As per the notification issued by the University, the last date of submission of application form has also been changed. Candidates who seek to apply through printed application (OMR) form should submit their application on or before March 30, 2013 (upto 5:00 pm). However, those applying online should submit the hard copy of the duly filled-in online submitted application form, on or before April 2, 2013 (upto 5:00 pm).
 
Both OMR application form and the hard copy of the online submitted application form is to be submitted or sent to The Registrar (UPSEE - 2013), Gautam Buddh Technical University (GBTU) IET Campus, Sitapur Road, Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) - 226021. It is also to be noted that for B Tech, candidates are required to submit either online or offline application form, however in case of MBA / MCA and MAM, they have to submit only online application form.
                                                                                                       
GBTU will conduct paper based common entrance test for B Tech / B Pharm / BHMCT / BFAD Degree course on April 21, 2013, while, the online test for MBA, MCA and MAM Degree courses will be conducted on April 20 and 27, 2013. As per sources, around 1.80 lakh students will be admitted in various courses including B Tech, B Pharma, Hotel Management, and Fashion Designing, offered by the University. 

The University has taken a new step in order to encourage the dependents of armed forces employees towards the higher education. As per the new regulation of the University, dependants of armed force personals possessing the domicile of Uttar Pradesh, but are working anywhere in the country, will be given 5% additional weightage, in the admission procedure. Earlier, this advantage was only offered to those who were either posted or belonged to UP.
