Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi, has invited applications from eligible candidates for admission into Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) programme in the below mentioned disciplines of Agricultural Sciences, to be offered in the upcoming academic session 2013-14. Admission will be made on the basis of candidate’s performance in the entrance test, followed by an interview, to be conducted by the Institute.

How to Apply
Interested candidates can apply through any of the following modes:
- In person/ by Hand: Candidates may obtain the information bulletin and application form in person from Syndicate Bank, Pusa Campus, New Delhi-110012 on cash payment of Rs 1000 (General / OBC candidates) and Rs 500 (SC / ST / PC candidates). In addition, one has two pay an extra Rs 25 as Bank service charges. The last date of submitting duly filled in and completed application form along with the admit cards and acknowledgement card (affixed with postage stamps of the amount indicated therein and filled legibly and correctly by the applicant), is April 3, 2013.
- Download Application: Candidates can download the same from the official website of IARI: http://www.iari.res.in/. The direct link to download the application is: http://144.16.140.96/web/icarcommunity/apply-for-ph.d. In this case a DD of Rs 1000 (for General/OBC category) and Rs 500 (for SC/ST/PC category) drawn in favour of Director IARI, New Delhi - 110 012, payable at New Delhi is required to be enclosed along with the application form. Alternatively, one can enclose ‘IARI Copy’ of Bank Challan (downloadable from the website: http://144.16.140.96/c/document_library/get_file?uuid=9211c461-b358-4e3a-a123-cc1b00811af6&groupId=11204), after paying requisite fee in any branch of Syndicate Bank.
- Apply Online: Candidates can also apply online by filling in the online application form made available on the website (direct link): http://144.16.140.96/web/icarcommunity/online-admission. Application fee should be paid through bank challan (as prescribed above). After successfully submitting the online application form, one must take printout of the same.
The last date for receipt of documents submission for downloaded / online application form as well as for receipt of through proper channel application form from in service candidates is April 17, 2013.
