How to apply
Interested candidates can apply online on the institute’s official website: http://www.iitkgp.ac.in/. The direct link for the online application form is: http://erp.iitkgp.ernet.in/GATEApplications/Login.jsp. In order to fill in the online application form, payment of application fee which is Rs 500 for GN/OBC candidates and Rs 250 for PD/SC/ST candidates has to be made through DD. The DD should be drawn from any national bank in favor of “IIT Kharagpur” payable at Kharagpur. Carefully read the instruction and fill in the appropriate details in the online form.
Then take the printout of the completed online application form and attach the DD with supporting documents (attested copy of GATE score card and attested copy of proof of applicant having Maths at B Sc or at 10 + 2 level) in an envelope. Candidate must paste his/her good quality colour photograph and sign under the declaration. The duly filled application form along with DD and requisite documents must be sent by Speed Post to “The Chairman, GATE, IIT Kharagpur, Kharagpur- 721302 (WB)” latest by April 15, 2013.
