Institute of Plasma Research (IPR), Gandhinagar, has invited online applications from eligible candidates for admission into Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) programme, to be offered in the ensuing session 2013. IPR is a premier scientific institute under the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India and is devoted to research and development activities in the areas of Basic Plasma Physics, Magnetic Confinement fusion and Industrial applications of plasmas.
The admission committee of IPR will short-list candidates on the basis of their performance in GATE (in Physics) 2012 or 2013 / JEST (in Physics) - 2013 / CSIR - UGC - NET - JRF (in Physical Sciences) June or December 2012 and call them for Personal Interview. Final selection of the candidates will be made on the basis of their performance in PI.

How to Apply
Interested candidates can apply online by filling and submitting the application form on the official website of IPR: http://www.ipr.res.in/. Online application link is now open and will close on April 19, 2013 (upto 5:00 pm). Once the application form is completed, candidates have to submit it online and take a print out of the same. The hard copy of the online submitted application form along with photocopies of all requisite documents should be sent either by post or courier to the Institute of Plasma Research, Near Indira Bridge, Bhat Village, Gandhinagar (Gujarat) - 382428, on or before April 26, 2013 (upto 5:00 pm).
