New Delhi: Good news for students willing to get admission into IP University. Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University extended the last date for sale and submission of some courses (enrolment done without Common Entrance Test) and all weekend courses has also been extended till May 27, 2013. In addition, the last date of sale and submission of PhD courses has also been extended till April 19, 2013.
As per sources, until early last week the University had received 60,000 online forms for various programmes. Moreover, the University has sold 90,000 forms through Indian Bank. This year, the University has witnessed tremendous rise in the number of applicants compared to last year.
The Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University established by Government of NCT of Delhi under the provisions of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University Act, 1998 read with its Amendment in 1999. The University is recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC), India under section 12B of UGC Act. It was accredited “A Grade’’ by NAAC.
The main idea behind the setting of such an affiliating and teaching University is to facilitate and promote studies; research and extension work in emerging areas of higher education with emphasis on professional education.
