The Osmania University, Hyderabad, has announced to postpone the entrance examination scheduled to be held today afternoon i.e. on April 25, 2013 (Thursday).
As per the press note issued by the Office of the Controller of Examination, Osmania University,
Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, the examinations of Osmania Entrance, PRE-DEGREE-COURSE-I YEAR, B.A. [LANGUAGES] – I YEAR [YWS] and M.A. [LANGUAGES] that were scheduled to be held today i.e. on April 25, 2013 (Thursday) afternoon have been postponed. The new dates will be announced in due course. The remaining examinations of these courses will be held as per the schedule.
Osmania University was founded in the year 1918, is the seventh oldest in India, the third oldest in south India and the first to be set up in the state of Hyderabad. Presently, it is a home to nearly 300,000 students pursuing their higher studies in its campus, constituent, affiliated colleges and district centres. The University has a total of 5000 faculty and staff members.
The University offers higher education at numerous disciplines including academic, professional and vocational education as well. It is a public university, funded and managed by the government. Osmania University was accredited with 'A' Grade status by the National Accreditation and Assessment Council (NAAC) of the University Grants Commission, Government of India, in the year 2008.
