The Anna University, Chennai, has announced the results of the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) 2013 today i.e. on May 17, 2013. As per sources, this year, more than 1.5 lakh students had appeared for TANCET 2013 that was conducted on April 6 and April 7, 2013. TANCET is conducted by the Anna University, Chennai on behalf of the government of Tamil Nadu. It is an entrance test conducted for selecting students desirous of seeking admission to M.B.A., M.C.A., M.E. M.Tech. / M.Arch. / M.Plan. degree Programmes offered at University Departments / University Colleges of Anna University, government and government aided engineering colleges and arts & science colleges and self-financing colleges (Engineering, Arts & Science Colleges including stand-alone Institutions) in Tamil Nadu.
Besides, some universities and self-financing engineering colleges may also admit the candidates on the basis of marks obtained in TANCET. Other State candidates can appear for the entrance test, but the eligibility conditions will be predetermined by the admitting authority / University.
