Admission in Top DU Colleges Crosses Capacity

New Delhi: With numerous aspirantsenrolling for Delhi University (DU), the admission for various programmes has crossed the capacity in most top colleges. Third list is expected to have few options for the students. Most seats were likely to be filled by Friday with the releasing of the second cut-off list.
 
DU’s popular colleges and programmes were on the verge of closing admissions by Friday. While SRCC had filled all the seats, KMC, LSR and Gargi among others were also in the process of near completion. P C Jain, SRCC Principal, said that all the seats were filled. However, it is mandatory to admit whoever comes in the next two days. He also said that there would certainly be no third list. 

As per the sources, Gargi College and KMC also ruled out a third list in most subjects. Gargi, after 60 cancellations, had so far admitted 955 students for a little over 1000 seats, while KMC had admitted 1225 students so far for its 1167 seats. Even the evening colleges had a field day as Dyal Singh (evening) admitted 160 students on the fourth day, while it admitted just 190 in the first three days. Deshbandhu College (evening) also admitted 200 students on Wednesday.
