DU Cut Off Likely To Be Same As 2008-09

New Delhi: With aspirants scrambling to join theDelhi University (DU) colleges, the varsity is expected to follow the marks of last few years. Cut off percentage of marks at which admission to various courses of study is offered by different colleges of Delhi University is expected to be announced in late June. It is on the basis of this cut off that the students can expect to get admissions into their choice of college.
 
Almost every year the cut-off marks for Pure Sciences (Hons) are found to hover between 80-90% with slight variations. Students aspiring to join the Arts/Humanities stream hope to gain admissions with 70% plus for subjects like Economics, Sociology, Psychology etc. Getting admission into B Com is comparatively tough, as students are required to score very high percentages chiefly Mathematics, Accountancy etc. Delhi University cut-off lists for undergraduate courses are eagerly awaited.
 
Most of the Capital's colleges have sent in their admission related information to Delhi University, the first cut-off list of percentages for admission will be declared on June 26. With the publishing of the DU cut off lists, the month long suspense of the students would end. Most colleges maintain that the cut-off marks would not be drastically different from the previous years. The University would put up the cut off lists of individual colleges on its website. 
 
Delhi University's new academic session generally starts in mid July every year. Prospectus and application forms are made available from late March to early April. During the month of May and June, the selection tests normally take place. Cut off list are released, one by one after the various school boards have declared their senior secondary results i.e. towards the end of May or in early June
