EAMCET Syllabus Revised

Hyderabad: Syllabus of Engineering, Medical and Agriculture Common Entrance Test (EAMCET), the gateway of engineering admissions in Andhra Pradesh, has been revised. The new syllabus will include CBSE and ICSE syllabus as well as the Intermediate subjects.

Students desiring to appear for EAMCET 2009 will have to widen the sphere of their knowledge, as, apart from their Intermediate subjects, they will now be tested in the CBSE and ICSE syllabus also. Moreover, it was also decided that first year Intermediate students will not be allowed to sit in the EAMCET 2009. Their inclusion was creating needless problems while determining ranks, apart from additional expenses towards allotment of centers and appointment of examiners.

Prof D.N. Reddy, Chairman of EAMCET-2009 and Vice-Chancellor of JNTU-Hyderabad, mentioned that there would be no change in the exam pattern or model. The number of questions will also remain the same. The syllabi of Intermediate, CBSE and ICSE will be thoroughly examined and question bank for EAMCET be prepared.
