IIM Ahmedabad to Increase Student Intake by 28 Percent from Next Year

Ahmedabad: Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM- A) is likely to increase its seats by 28 percent from next academic session. IIM-A is also planning to increase its faculty strength and make some alteration in its curriculum.
 
IIM - A has attained paramount success in the field of management studies. Prof B H Jajoo, Dean, IIM-A, said that the institute receives applicants from US and Europe who want to be associated with IIM-A as faculty. Some of them are teachers from foreign universities. He also added that in the coming years it was expected that number of faculty member would go up to 120 from the existing 90. 

The Government has sanctioned an amount of Rs 32 crore for its expansion. It will raise the rest of the amount through internal accruals and alumni network.
