NLU Introduces PG Diploma in Intellectual Property Rights

New Delhi: National Law University (NLU), Delhi has launched a one-year Postgraduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Rights and Law. The new programme will be offered in partnership with Global Institute of Intellectual Property (GIIP) and Hughes Communications.
 
This diploma programme has been structured by experts in the field of intellectual property rights and patents, including academicians, IP and patent attorneys, patent examiners and agents from the US, Europe and India, keeping the industry requirements at core. Moreover, it aims to meet the growing demands for trained (legal and technical) intellectual property experts in industry, R&D organizations, government agencies and non-government organizations.
 
The programme will be conducted across India, through Hughes Global Education Platform, using satellite based `Interactive Onsite Learning' pedagogy. As per sources, there has been a significant rise in the filing of intellectual property rights cases pertaining to trademarks, copyrights, designs as well as patents internationally and in India. The diploma programme is being introduced keeping the present market and industry needs in mind.
