Amity University To Train Commonwealth Games Volunteers

Noida: Noida-based Amity University is being entrusted the task of training about 30,000 volunteers for Commonwealth Games 2010. Also, the process of selecting volunteers has been started by the organizing committee.
 
Savita Mehta, Vice President (corporate communication) of Amity University, said that the organizing committee of the Commonwealth Games has awarded this contract to Amity University. She also added that they will have to train volunteers in several fields like general training, role training, venue training, training for trainers and leadership training.
 
As many as 310 students from the university have been selected in the first phase. Further, she also mentioned that 2000 students are to be selected in the phase from different departments of the university.
