Dr. Yasir Hasan Siddique Appointed Vice President of Indian Society of Toxicology (IST)

Aligarh: Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) has appointed Dr. Yasir Hasan Siddique, Lecturer, Department of Zoology (AMU), as the Vice President of Indian Society of Toxicology (IST) for a period of two years i.e. from 2010-12.
 
As a Vice President of Indian Society of Toxicology, Dr. Siddique will now be entitled to sponsor academics and research in the field of toxicology, under the management of IST. To the extent, he is also the first fellow of the Society.
 
Earlier worked as the Executive Committee Member of the IST for 2008-09, Dr. Siddque had organized a National Seminar under the administration of IST In 2009. He has also been credited for 80 publications that include two edited books published in both International and National Journals.
 
Talking about his achievements, he was honored with Young Scientist Award given by Science and Technology, DEF-Young Scientist Award- 2009 by Academy of Environmental Biology (AEB), IITR, Lucknow, Scientist of the Year Award-2009 by National Environmental Science Academy (NESA), New Delhi, Young Scientist Award-2005 by National Environmental Science Academy (NESA), New Delhi, Best Paper Award 2004 in the field of Life Sciences by The Muslim Association for the Advancement of Science (MAAS), Aligarh.
 
Moreover, he is also a member of the editorial board of more than 12 scientific international and national journals. Nowadays, he is actively involved in DST sponsored project based on the natural plant products.
