Heritage Institute of Technology Being Invited For 2010 Asian Innovation Awards Nomination

Kolkata: Heritage Institute of Technology (HIT) is being invited for nomination in the Asian Innovation Awards 2010, which is organized by the The Wall Street Journal. The Wall Street Journal Asia is now accepting entries for the prestigious Asian Innovation Awards 2010. The deadline for entries is Friday i.e. on April 9, 2010, at 11:59 pm Hong Kong time.
 
The Asian Innovation Awards are committed to finding the next big ideas in Asia, from entirely new inventions to the advancement of a classic. Entries to The Asian Innovation Awards come from individuals, small businesses, large corporations or academia in Asia Pacific. An independent panel of judges has been selected by The Wall Street Journal Asia, who would judge this year's entries. The leading criteria for judging are: - 1) Level of creativity or degree of innovation, 2) Quality of execution and 3) Potential impact on quality of life or productivity.
 
As per sources, HIT, Kolkata, West Bengal, got the chance to partake in this event through a formal invitation from Ms Eva Yim, the Assistant Marketing Manager, Dow Jones Publishing Company, Asia. It was a great achievement for the institution to get the invitation based upon the institute's performance in many creative National Events like E- Week, NEN, 2010, IIT Fest and many more. Also the institute's R&D department in Biotechnology and Chemical Engineering is backed with leading intellect mentors who act as guiding support for the students to excel in the field of Research and Development for the future.
