IGNOU Conducts Quiz Contest in Bangalore

Bangalore: On Tuesday i.e.August 10, 2010,Indira Gandhi Open University (IGNOU) conducted the first-ever multi-city inter-school quiz contest in the city.  In total 92 teams of two members each participated in quiz contest.
 
Sri Kumaran's Children Home (SKCH) comprising Milind Hedge and Vikas Kashyap bagged the Winner's Trophy and individual trophies. Besides, the runners-up, Aditya Hebber and Shishir Bhardwaj also belong to SKCH.
 
Anurup A.K. and Nanjundeshwara N of Deeksha Centre for Learning, and Arun S and Ameya M. Talanki of Christ Junior College shared the third position. Whereas, National Hillview Public School’s team consisting of Prithvi Hegde and P.V.S.S. Raju came fourth, & Deeksha Centre for Learning's team of Vivek Aithal K.R. and K. Krishna Chaitanya were placed fifth.
 
V.N. Rajasekharan Pillai, IGNOU Vice-Chancellor, presented the prizes to the winners. The Open University’s Pro-Vice Chancellor Latha Pillai and its Bangalore regional director Sudhindra were also present on the occasion. An exhibition was also organized at the venue of the competition. Apart from the quiz contest an exhibition was also organized at the venue of the competition.
