MASC Introduces PG courses in Journalism and Advertising

 

 

Chennai: Media Arts and Science College (MASC) has introduced postgraduate degree and diploma level programmes in the field of Mass Communication, Journalism and Advertising, in collaboration with Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli and University of Wales, Newport.
 
The two new programmes of the college are M.Sc in Journalism, Mass Communication & Advertising, a two-year full time programme and Diploma in Journalism, Mass Communication & Advertising, one-year full time programme. To be eligible for degree course, the candidates have to complete graduation in the relevant stream, while for the diploma programme aspirants must have completed Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) and should have a creative thinking. Moreover, the students would focus on Radio and TV, production, planning, packing, executive marketing, electronic media management and filmmaking, under these programmes.
 
Media Arts and Science College (MASC) has allotted 30 seats for each programme. Talking about fee, the students have to pay Rs 1 lakh for Diploma level programme and Rs 2.5 lakh for Degree level programme.
 
According to the press release, the institute has collaborated with Manonmaniam Sundaranar University and University of Wales to help students with syllabus sharing, courses, dual certification, guest lectures, etc.
