NDA & Naval Academy Exam Scheduled To Be Held On August 22

New Delhi: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) announces to conduct National Defence Academy (NDA) and Naval Academy Examination (II) 2010 on August 22. The examinations are conducted in order to select candidates for the Army, Navy and Air Force Wings of the NDA.
 
Interested candidates are instructed to apply in the Common Application Form devised by the Commission available at Head Post Offices/Post Offices throughout the country, and all applications must reach the Secretary, Union Public Service Commission, Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi 110069 on or before April 19, 2010. However, in respect of candidates residing abroad or in certain remote localities specified in the Notice, the last date for receipt of applications by post/speed post only (not by hand or courier) is April 26, 2010.
 
Only unmarried male candidates born not earlier than July 2, 1992 and not later than January 1, 1995 are eligible to sit for the examination, according to the government. While the minimum educational qualification for Army Wing of National Defence Academy is Class XII or equivalent, for Air and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for 10+2 (Executive Branch) course of Naval Academy, Class XII pass or equivalent with physics and mathematics, is required. Candidates appearing in Class XII under 10+2 pattern of school education or equivalent examination can also apply.
